by Christopher Isaac Larnder last modified 2008-02-21 08:40

Montreal animation critic Emru Townsend, diagnosed recently with leukemia, seeks a bone marrow donor. Special event this Sunday Feb. 24 at Montreal’s Coco Café.

Editor of Frames Per Second magazine that he established in 2001, Emru is also a close friend of the Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH chapter. Past panelist, Sketches moderator and Computer Animation Festival jury member at the annual SIGGRAPH conference, he is the CAF co-chair for this year’s edition.

Emru has so far been unsuccessful in finding a bone marrow donor. To this end, a donor-awareness event in his honour is taking place this Sunday at Café Coco ( address below ). See the following page for details about the widespread community support that has emerged around Emru’s case.

Café Coco event for Emru:

Sunday Feb 24th @ THE SAINT
30 St. Catherine W.
(corner St. Laurent)
7pm - Suggested Donation: 10$
