Emru Townsend finds a match!
Montreal animation critic, technology writer and blogger Emru Townsend, diagnosed with leukemia last fall, finally finds a bone marrow donor "match".
Editor of Frames Per Second magazine that he established in 2001, Emru is also a close friend of the Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH chapter. Past panelist, Sketches moderator and Computer Animation Festival jury member at the annual SIGGRAPH conference, he is theCAF co-chair for this year’s edition.
Emru and his sister Tamu had launched a remarkable media campaign to raise awareness of the issue and find a match. It appears their hard work has finally paid off. Tamu will be on CFCF's 6 o'clock news tonight, and there are already news items sprouting up from a variety of sources:http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news/story.html?id=8f16e1af-d9da-4418-9b4d-3722de527c4e

Their campaign is not halting now, though: there are a number of ways in which the current match may fail, and so the promotion continues. Read the full press release for details.
