Integration of 2D cell technique in 3D animation workflow

General description

This one-day workshop wants to teach and then use techniques usually found in traditional animation, aiming to raise the speed and quality levels of creating 3D animations. These techniques have been refined by Jason Ryan and are now presented in this training. The course themes are: inherent 3D animation's difficulties, productivity processes used in traditional animation, presentation of a proven process to maximize production time, demonstrations and applications of techniques. The course structure is double: the first part presents discussions and demonstrations followed by a period of practical training, directly supervised by Jason Ryan.

About the speaker, Jason Ryan

Jason Ryan was a Supervising animator at Walt Disney animation Studios for almost twelve years and is now Supervising Animator at DreamWorks Animation Studios. He graduated from the European School of Animation, also known as the Senior College, Ballyfermot, in Ireland.
