Continually raising the bar in terms of technical ability and level of ambition, studios, researchers, artists, students and other animation fanatics have contributed another year's worth of their most impressive accomplishments.
Join the 2011 edition of the event SIGGRAPH in the Park and assist the presentation of best videos from the prestigious "Computer Animation Festival", an international competition of first class which is among the most innovative achievements in the field animation and visual effects.
You'll see the best in computer-generated animation from medical imaging, real time simulation, computer games, music and much more. All videos have been carefully selected by a jury of experts at the Computer animation Festival under the watchful eyes of the SIGGRAPH crowd.
Come see what the best designers have to show you this year. You will be dazzled by the richness, variety, artistry and technical achievements.
A summer of film screenings under the stars
Bring your chair to take advantage of this projection outside, which will begin August 19, 2011 at 9:00PM at the place de la Paix, right next to the SAT, 1195 St. Laurent Boulevard. The projection of computer animation festival will be preceded by a musical performance of New Dj Taxi and visual jocool VJ.
Projections at the place de la Paix are co-produced by the Quartier des spectacles and the Society for Arts and Technology. Place de la Paix is located on the Blvd. Saint-Laurent, in the center of the Hands Carrefour du Quartier des spectacles.
Hour :
Animation VJ/DJ : 7:00PM to 9:00PM
Projection of the Computer Animation Festival : 9:00PM to 11:00PM
